Part of the prestigious Sol Melia Group of hotels, the 5 star rated Hotel Melia Salinas has a prime sea front position overlooking both the Playa de las Las Cucharas and Playa de los Charcos beaches, in the popular resort of Costa Teguise on the central east coast of Lanzarote.

The hotel is approximately 14km north of the capital Arrecife and the Lanzarote International Airport, and 500 metres from the commercial centre of the resort, where you will find a wide selection of bars, restaurants and shops.

Built in 1977 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 2015, the modern Hotel Melia Salinas is currently the only de luxe five star hotel on Lanzarote. The hotel has a total of 289 guest rooms, including 253 twin rooms, 24 Junior Suites, 2 Master Suites, 9 Villas and 1 further Presidential Villa, all of which are set amidst almost 15,000m2 of sub-tropical gardens and sun terraces around a large central pool area overlooking the sea.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a fully fitted en suite bathroom with shower and hairdryer, along with a direct dial telephone, satellite television, safety deposit box available for rental, mini bar and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area.

In addition to the above features, both the Junior and Master Suites at the hotel benefit from the Sol Melia "Royal Service", entitling guests to a VIP check in with refreshing towels and a welcome drink, pastries and either coffee or tea available from 10am to 6pm each day, a pillow and linen menu, as well as access to a private pool, Internet corner and late check out rooms.

Villas at the hotel also feature a private 28m2 pool, and the Presidential Villa, consisting of two separate villas set in an area of 1,200m2, offers guests a private 35m2 pool with an outdoor dining patio, outdoor canopy, exterior porch and solarium, along with an outdoor volcanic shower and garden.

In addition to the above features, a number of rooms have also been specially adapted for disabled guests, and all rooms at the hotel are provided with a daily maid service, undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen twice a week.

Guest facilities on offer include a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with a choice of both buffet and a la carte restaurants with show cooking, offering traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, as well as a games room, snack bars, public internet terminals, laundry and medical services and both lounge and pool bars.

For business guests, the Hotel Melia Salinas also offers the use of 6 large air conditioned conference and meeting rooms, seating a maximum of 300 people, all of which are fully equipped with a selection of the latest state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool and spacious sun terraces and gardens overlooking the sea which are furnished with loungers and parasols.

Other leisure facilities include 3 hard surface tennis courts, mini golf, a 2 hole Pitch and Putt course as well as a multi sports activity area for 5 a side football, basketball and volleyball etc.

Guests staying at the Hotel Melia Salinas also have the opportunity to relax and unwind at the hotels' own Beauty and Wellness Centre, offering guests a gymnasium, Jacuzzi and sauna, as well as a variety of other cosmetic, beauty and massage treatments.

The Hotel Melia Salinas also provides a seasonal programme of daytime activities with water fitness, situp classes, Yoga and Pilates and tennis tournaments, followed by evening entertainment in the Guatiza lounge bar with either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
