The 4 star rated Hotel Costa Calero has an enviable position overlooking the sporting marina in the exclusive resort of Puerto Calero on the southern east coast of Lanzarote.

The hotel is approximately 10km south of the capital Arrecife and the Lanzarote International Airport, and a few steps from the commercial centre of the resort, where you will find a small selection of bars, restaurants and shops.

Built in 2004, the modern low rise Hotel Costa Calero has a total of 324 guest rooms, including 312 twin rooms, 6 Suites and a further 6 family rooms, all of which are built over 5 floors, and set amidst almost 20,000m2 of sub-tropical gardens and sun terraces, around a large central pool area overlooking Atlantic Ocean towards the nearby islands of Lobos and Fuerteventura.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a modern "en suite" bathroom with shower, cosmetic mirror and hairdryer, along with a direct dial telephone with high speed WiFi internet access, a satellite television, safety deposit box available for rental, mini bar and either a balcony or a terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area towards the sea.

In addition to the above features, a number of guest rooms at the Hotel Costa Calero have also been specially adapted for disabled guests, and all rooms are provided with a daily maid service undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen twice a week.

Guest facilities on offer includes a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with 3 air conditioned buffet and a la carte restaurants and snack bars with show cooking, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, as well as a games room, public internet terminals with WiFi access available in selected areas, laundry and medical services and both lounge and pool bars.

For business guests, the Hotel Costa Calero also offers the use of 3 large air conditioned conference and meeting rooms, seating a maximum of 600 people, all of which are equipped with a selection of modern audio visual aids including a projection screen, flip charts, TV and video.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a choice of 4 large outdoor fresh and saltwater swimming pools for adults, with integrated children's sections, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities include a children's playground and mini club, along with both pool and table tennis tables.

Guests staying at the Hotel Costa Calero also have the opportunity to relax and unwind at the hotels own 3,000m2 Spa and Wellness Centre, which features a cardiovascular gymnasium with sauna, Jacuzzi and Turkish bath, as well offering a variety of other cosmetic and beauty treatments including massage, and algae and mud treatments.

The Hotel Costa Calero also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring boules, water polo and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment in the "Matalenas" bar with a children's mini disco, which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
