Hotel Gran Castillo - Playa Blanca

Part of the Dream Palace Group of hotels, the 5 star rated Hotel Gran Castillo has an enviable front line location overlooking the Playa de las Coloradas bay in the popular resort of Playa Blanca on the southern coast of Lanzarote.

The hotel is approximately 35km south of the capital Arrecife and the Lanzarote International Airport, and 4km from the commercial centre of the resort, where you will find a good selection of bars, restaurants and shops.

Built in 2006, the modern low rise Hotel Gran Castillo has a total of 260 guest rooms, including 155 Superior Rooms, 80 Family Rooms, 12 Junior Suites, 9 Senior Suites, 3 Royal Suites and 1 further Imperial Suite, which are distributed between 4 four storey buildings, and set amidst spacious sub-tropical gardens and sun terraces around a large central pool area overlooking Atlantic Ocean towards the nearby islands of Fuerteventura and Lobos.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a modern "en suite" bathroom with separate massage jet shower, cosmetic mirror and hairdryer, along with a direct dial telephone, satellite television, safety deposit box available for rental, mini bar and either a balcony or a terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area towards the sea.

In addition to the above features, a number of Superior Rooms at the Hotel Gran Castillo have also been specially adapted for disabled guests, and all rooms are provided with a daily maid service, undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen twice a week.

Guest facilities on offer include a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with 3 air conditioned buffet and a la carte restaurants with show cooking, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, as well as a games room, public internet terminals, laundry and medical services and both lounge and pool bars.

For business guests, the Hotel Gran Castillo also offers the use of a large air conditioned conference centre, seating a maximum of 540 people, which is fully equipped with a selection of the latest audio-visual and networking technology.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes 3 large outdoor salt water swimming pools for adults, along with a further smaller freshwater children's splash pool, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities include a hard surface tennis and paddle court, a Jacuzzi and both pool and table tennis tables.

Guests staying at the Hotel Gran Castillo also have the opportunity to relax and unwind at the Vitanova Spa and Thalassotherapy Wellness Centre, which features more than 2,300m2 of hot sea water, relaxing music, aromatherapy, saunas, Jacuzzis, a cardiovascular gymnasium and beauty centre, offering a variety of other cosmetic and beauty treatments including Body Cleansing, Micro Blasted Seaweed Wraps and Body Wraps with Sea Salts.

The Hotel Gran Castillo also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring boules, water polo and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment with a children's mini disco which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
