The 3 key rated Morromar Apartments are situated around 350 metres from the beach, in the Matagorda district of the lively resort of Puerto del Carmen, on the southern east coast of Lanzarote.

The apartments are approximately 6km south of the capital Arrecife, 2km from the Lanzarote International Airport, and a short walk from the commercial centre of the resort, where you will find a wide selection of bars, restaurants and shops.

Built in 1987 and fully renovated during the winter of 2004, the modern low rise Morromar complex has a total of 221 guest rooms, offering a choice of 7 Studio flats, 194 one bedroom self catering apartments and a further 20 two bedroom apartments, all of which are distributed between several two storey buildings, and set amidst spacious sub-tropical gardens and sun terraces, around a large central pool area.

All guest rooms come equipped with a fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower, along with an open plan kitchenette with refrigerator, double ceramic hob, toaster and kettle, a combined lounge/dining room with additional sofa beds, direct dial telephone, satellite television, safety deposit box available for rental, and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area.

In addition to the above features, a maid service is also provided, undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen twice a week.

Guest facilities on offer includes a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant with show cooking, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, as well as a games room, snack bars, public internet terminals, laundry and medical services and both lounge and pool bars.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes 2 large salt and freshwater swimming pools for adults, with integrated children's section, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols.

Other leisure facilities include a children's playground and mini club, as well as a hard surface tennis court, a multi-sports activity area for football and volleyball etc, and a cardiovascular gymnasium with Jacuzzi.

The Morro Mar Apartments also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring archery, water polo and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment with a children's mini disco which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
