The 3 key Sun Tropical Apartments are situated around 700 metres from the Playa Dorada beach in the popular resort of
Playa Blanca on the southern coast of Lanzarote. The apartments are approximately 35km south of the capital Arrecife
and the Lanzarote International Airport, and 2.5km from the commercial centre of the resort, where you will find a
good selection of bars, restaurants and shops. Built in 2003, the modern low rise Sun Tropical complex has a total of 207 one bedroom self catering apartments, each sleeping a maximum of 4 adults, which are distributed between eight 2 storey buildings, and set amidst spacious sub-tropical gardens and sun terraces around a large central pool area. All guest rooms on the complex are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a modern "en suite" bathroom with shower and hairdryer, along with an open plan kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave oven, kettle, toaster and coffee maker, a combined lounge/dining room with with additional sofa beds, direct dial telephone, satellite television, safety deposit box available for rental and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area. In addition to the above features, a number of apartments on the complex have also been specially adapted for disabled guests, and all rooms are provided with a maid service, undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen twice a week. Guest facilities on offer include a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, as well as a games room, public internet terminals, laundry and medical services and both lounge and pool bars. Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes 5 large outdoor freshwater swimming pools, with integrated children's splash pools, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities include a children's playground and mini club, along with a hard surface tennis court, cardiovascular gymnasium, sauna, and both pool and table tennis tables. The Sun Tropical Apartments also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring boules, water polo and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment with a children's mini disco which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
