Part of the prestigious Riu Group of hotels, the 3 key Riu Olivina Coral Apartments are situated around 250 metres from the
beach, in the quiet Playa de Los Pocillos district, of the otherwise lively resort of Puerto del Carmen, on the southern
east coast of Lanzarote. The apartments are approximately 5km south of the capital Arrecife and the Lanzarote International
Airport, and a short walk from the commercial centre of the resort, where you will find a wide selection of bars, restaurants
and shops. Built in 1985, the modern low rise Riu Olivina Coral complex has a total of 188 guest rooms, offering a choice of both one and two bedroom self catering apartments, which are built over 2 floors, and set amidst almost 5,000m² of sub-tropical gardens and sun terraces around a large central pool area. All guest rooms come equipped with a fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower and hairdryer, along with an open plan kitchenette with refrigerator, a combined lounge/dining room with additional sofa beds, direct dial telephone, satellite television with music channels, safety deposit box available for rental and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area. In addition to the above features, a daily maid service is also provided, undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen twice a week. Guest facilities on offer include a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar with show cooking, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, as well as a games room, public internet terminals, laundry and medical services and both lounge and pool bars. Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes 3 large saltwater swimming pools for adults, with integrated children's splash pool, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities include a children's playground and mini club along with, at the adjacent Hotel Riu Olivina, 2 hard surface tennis courts and both pool and table tennis tables. The Hotel Riu Olivina also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring boules, water polo and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment with a children's mini disco which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
